2018-2019 Regular Season Schedule Announced

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club, in conjunction with the Western Hockey League, announced the 2018-2019 regular season schedule on Tuesday.

The Hurricanes will play a total of 68 regular season games, including 34 at the ENMAX Centre and 34 on the road. The ‘Canes will begin the 2018-2019 season on Friday, September 21st when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers in their Home Opener in what will be the first of three home-and-home series with the Tigers.

The ‘Canes will play 34 games within the Central Division, including 10 games against their rival Tigers (five at home, five on the road). The ‘Canes will play the Kootenay Ice, Calgary Hitmen, Red Deer Rebels and Edmonton Oil Kings on six occasions throughout the season (three at home, three on the road). The Hurricanes will play 24 games against the East Division while only play the Western Conference teams just once; the ‘Canes will visit all five US Division teams while the BC Division will visit the Hurricanes.

The schedule will include three separate three-in-three weekends over the season. The Hurricanes longest home-stand will be a total of six games from February 1st until February 13th while the longest road trip of the season will be five games from February 23rd until March 2nd.

HOME DATES TO REMEMBER:

Friday, September 23rd, 2018 – vs. Medicine Hat Tigers (Season Opener)
Friday, November 30th, 2018 – vs. Swift Current Broncos (Eastern Conference Championship Series Rematch)
Friday, December 28th, 2018 – vs. Victoria Royals (First Home Game After Christmas)
Saturday, March 9th, 2019 – vs. Calgary Hitmen (Regular Season Home Finale)

The Hurricanes will begin their five games ENMAX Pre-Season schedule on Friday, August 31st, 2018 when they host the Tigers at the ENMAX Centre. Season Tickets for the 2018-2019 season are on sale and can be purchased by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre or by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328).
