GAME DAY: Hurricanes Continue Trip in Brandon

Regina, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue their five game road trip tonight as they pay their final regular season visit to Brandon to face the Wheat Kings tonight at 6:00pm Mountain Time.

The Hurricanes (39-17-4-3) won their third straight game on Tuesday earning a 4-1 victory in Regina over the Pats. The ‘Canes were once again led by their Captain Tyler Wong who had two goals and one assist while Matt Alfaro and Jordy Bellerive scored the other goals. Stuart Skinner made 42 saves in the win. The ‘Canes enter play four points back of the Medicine Hat Tigers for the Central Division lead.

The Wheat Kings (28-26-6-3) finished a four game road trip last night with a 5-2 loss in Swift Current against the Broncos. The Wheaties went 0-3-0-1 in the four games away from home and have lost nine straight road games. Brandon has however posted a 20-7-3-0 record on home ice. They currently sit in the first of the two Eastern Conference Wild Card positions.

Tonight will be the final of a four game season series between the ‘Canes and the Wheat Kings. Lethbridge has posted a 2-1-0-0 record against Brandon this season having earned 4-3 victories in the last two head-to-head meetings.
