GAME DAY: Hurricanes Entertain Slumping Rebels

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes look to continue momentum tonight as they welcome the Red Deer Rebels at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre.

The Hurricanes (13-13-1-0) are coming off back-to-back victories on the weekend as they took four out of a possible six points. The ‘Canes most recent game was a 7-2 win in Edmonton over the Oil Kings. Giorgio Estephan had a career-high six points (1g-5a) while Calen Addison had a career-high five points (5a). The win was the ‘Canes sixth in their last seven games.

The Rebels (9-16-3-1) enter on an eight game losing streak having posted a 0-5-2-1 record in that span. The Rebels are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday. Red Deer hasn’t won a game since November 14th when they beat the Victoria Royals 5-3 on Vancouver Island.

Tonight is the first of six head-to-head meetings on the season and the first since the Hurricanes defeated the Rebels in Game 7 of the first round of the playoffs last year. The ‘Canes took five of six games against Red Deer last year in the regular season series.
