GAME DAY: Hurricanes Entertain Slumping Rebels

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes look to continue momentum tonight as they welcome the Red Deer Rebels at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre.

The Hurricanes (13-13-1-0) are coming off back-to-back victories on the weekend as they took four out of a possible six points. The ‘Canes most recent game was a 7-2 win in Edmonton over the Oil Kings. Giorgio Estephan had a career-high six points (1g-5a) while Calen Addison had a career-high five points (5a). The win was the ‘Canes sixth in their last seven games.

The Rebels (9-16-3-1) enter on an eight game losing streak having posted a 0-5-2-1 record in that span. The Rebels are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday. Red Deer hasn’t won a game since November 14th when they beat the Victoria Royals 5-3 on Vancouver Island.

Tonight is the first of six head-to-head meetings on the season and the first since the Hurricanes defeated the Rebels in Game 7 of the first round of the playoffs last year. The ‘Canes took five of six games against Red Deer last year in the regular season series.

Tickets for tonight’s game can be purchased online, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre.
