GAME DAY: Hurricanes Entertain Warriors for First Time

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes welcome the Moose Jaw Warriors tonight at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre in the final of a brief two game homestand.

The Hurricanes (22-21-5-0) are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss on Wednesday to the Kelowna Rockets. Jadon Joseph, Jordy Bellerive and Igor Merezhko scored in the losing cause while Reece Klassen made 45 saves. The loss dropped the ‘Canes record to 2-2-2-0 in their last six games and 13-8-3-0 on home ice.

The Warriors (38-7-1-2) last played on Sunday when they earned a 5-3 victory over the Saskatoon Blades. Moose Jaw is the number one team in the entire WHL and was ranked second on Thursday’s CHL Top 10 Rankings. They are a league-best 18-5-0-1 on the road this season.

Tonight will be the first of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Warriors. Last year, the ‘Canes posted a 1-3-0-0 record against Moose Jaw.
