GAME DAY: Hurricanes Face Tigers in Taber

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue their ENMAX Pre-Season tonight as they travel to Taber to take on the Medicine Hat Tigers at 7:30pm at the Taber Civic Centre.

The Hurricanes defeated the Tigers 5-4 in overtime Friday night at the ENMAX Centre. Jordy Bellerive scored twice, including the overtime winner, while Jake Elmer, Keltie Jeri-Leon and Nick Dorrington scored the other goals in the victory. Carl Tetachuk, who replaced starter Reece Klassen at the half-way-point of the second period, was credited with the win having made 11 saves. Klassen made 10 saves on 11 shots. The Tigers received goals by Corson Hopwo, Cole Sillinger, Dawson Heathcote and Kadyn Chabot in the losing cause. Kaedan Lane, who relieved starter Mads Sogaard was handed the overtime loss in the game.

Tonight will be the final meeting of the pre-season between the Hurricanes and Tigers. The two teams will open the 2018-2019 regular season with the annual home-and-home set on September 21st and 22nd. The ‘Canes and Tigers will face each other a total of ten times during the regular season.

Tickets for tonight’s game are $10.00 and can be purchased at the door at the Taber Civic Centre. Doors open at 6:30pm, puck drops at 7:30pm.
