GAME DAY: Hurricanes Head to Calgary

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes look for their first road victory of the season as they travel to face the Calgary Hitmen this afternoon at Scotiabank Saddledome at 4:00pm.

The Hurricanes (3-4-0-0) have lost two straight games after falling 4-3 to the Everett Silvertips on Friday night at the ENMAX Centre. Jordy Bellerive scored twice and added an assist in the losing cause while Giorgio Estephan posted two assists, including his 250th career point. It was the ‘Canes first home ice loss this season. The ‘Canes are 0-3-0-0 on the season so far this year.

The Hitmen (3-5-1-0) are coming off a pair of victories in Kamloops and Kelowna. Calgary defeated the Rockets 4-3 in the Okanagan on Friday night. Four different goal scorers lit the lamp for the Hitmen including Jakob Stukel, Mark Kastelic, Hunter Campbell and Cael Zimmerman. Nick Schneider made 31 saves in the winning cause. The Hitmen are 1-2-0-0 at the Saddledome this season.

Today is the first of six head-to-head meetings on the season between the ‘Canes and Hitmen and the first of four meetings in the next three weeks. Lethbridge posted a 3-2-1-0 record against Calgary last season.
