GAME DAY: Hurricanes Head to Cranbrook to Face Ice

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes kick off a five game road trip tonight at 7:00pm as they travel to take on the Kootenay Ice in Cranbrook.

The Hurricanes (37-17-4-3) are coming off a four game home stand in which they went 3-1-0-0 in the four games. The ‘Canes picked up a 4-3 victory last night over the Brandon Wheat Kings. Matt Alfaro scored twice including the game winning goal while Giorgio Estephan and Zak Zborosky added the others. The ‘Canes currently sit second in the Central Division, six points back of the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The Ice (13-37-8-2) were handed a 6-4 setback last night in Red Deer to the Rebels. Kootenay had four different goal scorer light the lamp in the losing cause including former Hurricane Colton Kroeker who had a goal and one assist. The Ice enter play tonight sitting last place in the Western Hockey League.

Tonight will be the sixth meeting this season between the ‘Canes and the Ice. Hurricanes have posted a 3-2-0-0 record against Kootenay this season and have won the last two head to head meetings.
