GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Hitmen on Don Cherry Night

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to action tonight as they welcome the Calgary Hitmen at the ENMAX Centre at 7:00pm in ‘WHL Suits Up with Don Cherry to Promote Organ Donation – Presented by RE/MAX Night’.

The Hurricanes (6-5-0-0) have won two straight games after a 2-0 victory over the Regina Pats on Wednesday night. Dylan Cozens and Ryan Vandervlis scored the goals in the win while Stuart Skinner made 36 saves for his seventh career shutout, and first of the season. The ‘Canes improved their home ice record to 5-2-0-0 with the victory and their record to 2-1-0-0 on their current seven game home-stand.

The Hitmen (4-8-1-0) are coming off a 6-4 loss on Tuesday to the Spokane Chiefs at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. Despite the below five-hundred record, the Hitmen have posted a 3-3-0-0 record over their last six games entering play tonight.

Tonight will be the second of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Hitmen after the ‘Canes beat Calgary 3-1 last Sunday at the Saddledome. This will be the first of three meetings in the next eight days between the two clubs.

The Hurricanes will be wearing special Don Cherry themed jerseys that will be available on an online auction. As well, the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive Don Cherry bobbleheads in addition to 4,000 Don Cherry player cards.

Tickets for tonight’s game are available online, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre.
