GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Ice in Central Division Clash

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight as they welcome the Kootenay Ice at 7:00pm in a big Central Division clash.

The Hurricanes (19-19-3-0) are coming off back-to-back victories over the Red Deer Rebels. The ‘Canes earned a 6-4 in Red Deer on Friday night. Logan Barlage scored twice in the third period, including the game winning goal, while Brad Morrison and Jordy Bellerive each had three points in the win. The ‘Canes improved to 7-11-2-0 on the road this season. The ‘Canes are second in the Central with 41 points.

The Ice (18-21-3-0) enter tonight having not played for the last week. Kootenay was last in action last Saturday when they were handed a 4-2 loss in Saskatoon by the Blades. The Ice enter play tonight on a five game losing streak; a streak that includes a 7-0 loss in Lethbridge on January 2nd.

Tonight will be the third of seven meetings on the season between the ‘Canes and Ice. The Hurricanes are 2-0-0-0 against the Ice this year having not surrendered a goal while outscoring Kootenay 10-0 in the two games.
