GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Rockets in Lone Meeting

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Kelowna Rockets in the lone meeting of the season.

The Hurricanes (15-9-4-2) are coming off a three-game road trip in which they posted a 1-1-1-0 record. The latest game was an 8-7 overtime loss in Tri-City against the Americans at the Toyota Center. Jake Elmer had a career-high five points while his line-mates Taylor Ross and Dylan Cozens each had four points.

The Rockets (15-15-2-0) are coming off a 3-1 victory last night in Cranbrook over the Kootenay Ice in what was the first of a four-game Central Division road trip. Leif Mattson scored twice in the win for Kelowna while Kyle Topping had the other. The Rockets enter tonight with points in five straight games and are 11-5-2-0 under new head coach Adam Foote.

Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Rockets; last year, Kelowna won all three meetings with two coming in overtime.

It is also KiSS 107.7 Night at the ENMAX Centre as they will be on hand for Centre Village Mall’s Toy Mountain. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation.

Tickets for tonight’s game are available online at www.enmaxcentre.ca, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre or Yates Ticket Centre’s.

VS. ROCKETS: Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Rockets. The two teams faced off three times last year with Kelowna taking all three games, including a pair of 4-3 overtime wins over the ‘Canes. The Rockets last visited the ENMAX Centre on January 24th.
