GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Ryley Lindgren’s Broncos

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes kick off a light week as they welcome Ryley Lindgren and the Swift Current Broncos tonight at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre.

The Hurricanes (24-15-4-3) are coming off a 6-5 overtime loss on Sunday in Calgary to the Hitmen. It was the third straight game that the ‘Canes skated in a 6-5 final. Tyler Wong led all scorers in the game with four points (2g-2a) while Alec Baer, Igor Merezhko and Giorgio Estephan scored singles in the game. The ‘Canes enter play tonight second in the Central Division.

The Broncos (25-13-3-5) enter tonight after earning a 5-4 shootout victory over the Red Deer Rebels at home on Sunday. The Broncos boast four players with 40 or more points on the season; that includes former ‘Canes centreman Ryley Lindgren who will make his return to Lethbridge. Swift Current enters third in the tough East Division.

Tonight will be the final of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Broncos, Lethbridge has posted a 2-1-0-0 record against Swift Current this year. The ‘Canes have won six of seven head-to-head meetings dating back to last season.
