GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Tigers In Back Half of Home-and-Home

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight at they will host the Medicine Hat Tigers in the second of a back-to-back, home-and-home.

The Hurricanes (4-4-1-2) fell 4-3 in overtime last night in Medicine Hat to the Tigers. The ‘Canes had a 3-1 lead with two minutes left in the game only to see the Tigers score with the extra man before winning the game in overtime. Noah Boyko, Jadon Joseph and Dylan Cozens scored in the losing cause while Reece Klassen made 20 saves.

The Tigers (6-5-0-1) received goals from Linus Nassen, Tyler Preziuso and Ryan Jevne in the third period of last night’s game before James Hamblin scored on a penalty shot in overtime to lift the Tigers to their third straight victory. Hamblin enters play tonight with 11 points on the season, seven of those points have come against the Hurricanes in three games.

VS. TIGERS: Tonight will be the fourth of ten head-to-head meetings between the Hurricanes and the Tigers this season and the second of three home-and-home sets between the Highway 3 rivals. The ‘Canes and Tigers split the opening weekend pair with the road team winning both games while the Tigers earned a home-ice win last night.
