GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Tigers in Final Home Game

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will play their final home game of the regular season tonight at 7:00pm when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers in the first of a season ending home-and-home.

The Hurricanes (44-19-4-3) enters after earning an 8-1 victory on Wednesday over the Kootenay Ice. Giorgio Estephan led the way for the ‘Canes as he scored his first WHL hat-trick while adding an assist. Alec Baer, Ryan Vandervlis and Egor Babenko all had three point efforts.

The Tigers (49-20-1-0) enter having already clinched the Central Division title as well as sitting second in the entire WHL standings with 99 points. Tigers were handed an 8-3 defeat on Tuesday in their last game to the hands of the Red Deer Rebels.

It’s the sixth of seven meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Tigers, the ‘Canes are 3-2-0-0 in the previous five games.

Following the game, the Hurricanes will host the annual Jersey’s Off Our Back live auction as the team will be auctioning off their game-worn 30th Anniversary red jerseys.
