GAME DAY: Hurricanes Kick Off Trip in Saskatoon

Saskatoon, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes begin a four game East Division road trip tonight as they visit the Saskatoon Blades at Sasktel Centre at 6:00pm Mountain Time.

The Hurricanes (14-13-2-0) are coming off a 6-5 overtime loss on Friday night to the Edmonton Oil Kings. Five different goal scorers lit the lamp for the Hurricanes as Giorgio Estephan, Igor Merezhko, Jadon Joseph, Taylor Ross and Jake Elmer scored the goals in the losing cause. The ‘Canes are 7-2-1-0 in their last ten games and enter on a four game road winning streak.

The Blades (12-16-2-1) enter after a 3-2 victory on Sunday over the Prince Albert Raiders. Rookie forward Alec Zawatsky scored the game-winning goal while first year netminder Nolan Maier made 34 saves in the win. The Blades are 5-8-0-0 on home ice this season and 4-4-1-1 in their last ten games.
