GAME DAY: Hurricanes Pay Second Visit to Broncos

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes kick off the 2017 portion of their schedule tonight as they begin a quick two game Saskatchewan road trip in Swift Current against the Broncos.

The Hurricanes (20-13-3-2) are coming off a thrilling 9-7 victory in Medicine Hat against the Tigers to end 2016. Tyler Wong led all ‘Canes scorers in the game with five points (2g-3a) while six others had a multi-point night. The victory for the ‘Canes was their second straight and improved their record to 13-2-2-0 in their last 17 games.

The Broncos (21-11-3-4) currently sit tied for second in the East Division with the Moose Jaw Warriors with 49 points. Swift Current is coming off back-to-back overtime victories over the Saskatoon Blades, the latest a 5-4 win in Saskatoon on January 1st.

Tonight will be the third of four meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Broncos, Lethbridge has won the previous two, the latest a 5-4 overtime win December 10th in Swift Current.
