GAME DAY: Hurricanes Play Final Home Game Before Christmas Against Blazers

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will play their final home game before the Christmas break tonight at the ENMAX Centre as they welcome the Kamloops Blazers at 7:00pm.

The Hurricanes (16-9-4-2) are coming off a 5-1 victory on Wednesday over the Kelowna Rockets at home as they improved their home-ice record to 9-2-2-0 in their last 13 at the ENMAX Centre. Five different goal scorers lit the lamp while Carl Tetachuk made 25 saves in the win. The Hurricanes are 7-1-2-0 in their last ten games.

The Blazers (12-15-2-1) were handed a 5-3 loss last night in Cranbrook against the Kootenay Ice. Quinn Schmiemann scored twice while Connor Zary netted the other in the defeat. Kamloops enter on a five game losing streak after last nights loss.

Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Blazers. Last year, the two teams split a pair of games. It’s Kamloops’ first visit to the ENMAX Centre since December of 2016.

VS. BLAZERS: Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Blazers. Las year, the teams split a pair of games in Kamloops with the Hurricanes earning a 4-2 win in their last meeting on January 16th. The ‘Canes have posted a 3-2-1-0 in the last six meetings against Kamloops over the last three years. Tonight will be the first visit to Lethbridge for the Blazers since December 14th, 2016 when Kamloops earned a 3-2 overtime victory.
