GAME DAY: Hurricanes Prepare for First of Two in PG

Prince George, BC – The Lethbridge Hurricanes play the third of a five game BC road trip tonight in Prince George against the Cougars at 8:00pm Mountain Time.

The Hurricanes (21-19-4-0) are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss on Wednesday in Kelowna against the Rockets. Jordy Bellerive, Tate Olson and Taylor Ross scored in the losing cause while Reece Klassen made 33 saves in the defeat. The ‘Canes had a four game winning streak snapped with the loss. The ‘Canes are 4-0-1-0 in their last five games.

The Cougars (17-22-4-3) were handed back-to-back losses on Tuesday and Wednesday by the Seattle Thunderbirds at home. The latest setback was a 7-4 loss on to the defending WHL Champions on Wednesday. Prince George enters play tonight with a 4-4-1-1 record in their last ten games and have posted a 9-11-3-1 record so far this season at home.

Tonight will be the first of a back-to-back set that the Hurricanes will play in Prince George against the Cougars as they will face off again tomorrow night at the CN Centre. The ‘Canes posted a 0-1-0-1 record against the Cougars last season.
