GAME DAY: Hurricanes Set For Big Test Against Pats

Regina, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a stretch of five straight games away from home as they kick off a four game East Division road trip tonight in Regina against the Pats at 6:00pm at the Brandt Centre.

The Hurricanes (38-17-4-3) have won two straight games entering play tonight after a 5-3 victory Saturday in Cranbrook over the Kootenay Ice. Matt Alfaro and Tyler Wong each scored twice in the victory while Tanner Nagel added the other in the win. The ‘Canes enter play having posted a 18-2-1-1 record in their last 22 games and sit second in the Central Division.

The Pats (44-9-7-1) enter having dropped a 5-4 overtime loss on Sunday afternoon to the Swift Current Broncos. Regina enters play with a league-best 96 points and boast the top two scorers in the WHL with Sam Steel and Adam Brooks as the only two players to eclipse the 100-point plateau thus far. The Pats are 6-3-0-1 in their last ten games.

Tonight will be the final regular season meeting between the Hurricanes and the Pats. The ‘Canes have posted a 1-2-0-0 record against Regina having lost the first two meetings but earning a 5-4 overtime win December 7th in Lethbridge.
