GAME DAY: Hurricanes Wrap Up 3-in-3

Portland, OR – The Lethbridge Hurricanes wrap up a three-in-three road trip tonight as they pay their lone visit to Portland to face the Winterhawks.

The Hurricanes (8-11-1-2) enter play having snapped a five game losing streak last night in Everett with a 2-1 victory over the Silvertips. Ryan Vandervlis and Tyler Wong each had a goal and an assist in the game; Wong scoring the game-winning goal in the third period. Stuart Skinner was outstanding making 30 saves in the victory.

The Winterhawks (10-12-0-0) enter play on a two game winning streak after picking up a 5-4 overtime win last night at home against the Seattle Thunderbirds. The ‘Hawks have won two straight after losing nine straight games in regulation. Portland has scored 14 goals in their last two games and are in the middle of an eight game home stand.

Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Winterhawks. Portland took the lone meeting last year 4-2 victory on February 19th in Lethbridge. Game time tonight is 6:00pm Mountain Time and can be heard on 106.7 ROCK.
