The ‘Canes had their chances to win the game with their best chance on a point blank opportunity by Jordy Bellerive but Child came up with a game-saving stop. Neither team was able to end it in regulation as the game went to overtime.

Just one minute in the extra session, the ‘Canes were caught on a sloppy line change and Edmonton took advantage and ended the game as Trey Fix-Wolansky buried a pinball puck to win the game 6-5 for the Oil Kings.
