Hurricanes Swing Deal with Blazers

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club has acquired 2000-born forward Keltie Jeri-Leon from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for a seventh round draft pick in the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

Jeri-Leon, 17, was originally drafted in the fifth round (93rd overall) in the 2015 Bantam Draft by the Tri-City Americans. In 23 games this season with the Americans and Blazers, the product of Kelowna, BC had registered three points (1g-2a) along with two penalty minutes.

The 5’11”, 187-pound forward skated in 46 games with the Americans in 2016-2017 collecting three points (2g-1a) with four penalty minutes. In 2015-2016, Jeri-Leon scored 38 points (26g-12a) in 35 games with the Okanagan Hockey Academy.

The Hurricanes return to action Friday when they travel to Red Deer to face the Rebels before welcoming the Kootenay Ice to the ENMAX Centre on Saturday. Tickets for the game can be purchased online, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre.
