PLAYOFF GAME DAY: Hurricanes Look to End Series at Home

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will look to close out their second round series with the Medicine Hat Tigers tonight at 6:00pm in Game 6 of their best-of-seven series.

The Hurricanes hold a 3-2 series lead after earning a 5-4 victory in Game 5 on Friday night at the Canalta Centre in Medicine Hat. Tyler Wong scored twice and was named the game’s third star in the victory while Ryan Bowen, Ryan Vandervlis and Brennan Riddle scored the others in the winning cause.

The Tigers, who face elimination for the first time in the post-season, were resilient in Game 5 as they came back to tie the game on three occasions but couldn’t muster a two-goal come-back late in the game. Max Gerlach scored twice while Clayton Kirichenko and David Quenneville scored the others in the losing cause.

A win for the Hurricanes tonight and they will advance to the Eastern Conference Final for the fifth time in franchise history and will await the winner of the Swift Current-Regina series.
