PLAYOFF GAME DAY: Hurricanes Look to Reset in Game 2

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will look to even their first round playoff series with the Red Deer Rebels in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series tonight at 6:00pm.

The Hurricanes trail the best-of-seven 1-0 after Red Deer earned a 4-2 win last night at the ENMAX Centre. Tyler Wong and Ryan Vandervlis scored the goals for the Hurricanes in the losing cause while Stuart Skinner made 29 saves.

The Rebels’ Michael Spacek had two points (1g-1a) in the victory as Red Deer stole away home ice advantage from the ‘Canes. Brandon Hagel scored the game-winning goal on the power play with under two minutes left in the hockey game before Lane Zablocki added an empty net goal.

The Hurricanes will look to even the series before it shifts to Red Deer for Games 3 and 4.

PLAYOFF SERIES: Tonight will be Game 2 of the best-of-seven series between the Hurricanes and the Rebels. Red Deer leads the series 1-0 after earning a 4-2 win in Game 1 on Saturday. It’s the first meeting between the Hurricanes and Rebels in the post-season since 2002 and the fifth time all-time.
