Dairy Queen Home Opener: The Hurricanes will kick off their 31st season on Friday, September 22nd when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers at the ENMAX Centre in the Dairy Queen Home Opener. The ‘Canes will face the Tigers in a season opening home-and-home set for the seventh straight season.
Home Opener Tickets at DQ: You can receive two adult tickets to the DQ Home Opener with the purchase of any two burger/fries/soft drink meals at any Lethbridge Dairy Queen location. This excludes the $6 and $7 meal deals. Tickets available only while quantities last.
Season Tickets Still On Sale: Season Tickets for the 2017-2018 campaign are still available for purchase. Secure your seat for all 36 home games plus season ticket holder perks including priority on Playoff tickets and select pre-sale opportunities for events at the ENMAX Centre. Season Tickets start at $400 and can be purchased by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328).
Season Ticket Booklets Available in Ticket Centre: A reminder that Season Ticket Booklets are now available to be picked up, along with your gift, at the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre. Office Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Saturday’s from 10:00am-4:00pm.
Individual Game Tickets Now Available: Individual game tickets and flex packs are NOW available for purchase at the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre which is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Saturday’s from 10:00am-4:00pm.

Schedule Change: The Hurricanes would like to advise that there has been an error in printing in some of the team promotional schedules, as well as the season ticket booklets. The Hurricanes will host the Red Deer Rebels on Wednesday, December 6th at 7:00pm – NOT on Tuesday, December 5th.

Friday, September 15th – 8-4 Loss at Kootenay: The Hurricanes concluded the ENMAX Pre-Season on Friday night in the Crowsnest Pass falling 8-4 to the Kootenay Ice. The ‘Canes outshot the ice 49-29. Dylan Cozens, Calen Addison, Egor Zudilov and Josh Tarzwell scored the goals in the losing cause. The ‘Canes finished the exhibition schedule with a 1-4-0-0 record.

Friday, September 22nd, 7:00pm vs. Medicine Hat Tigers: The Hurricanes will begin the 2017-2018 regular season this Friday when they host the Tigers in the Dairy Queen Home Opener. It will be the seventh straight season that the ‘Canes and Tigers will open the season against each other. Lethbridge has won each of the last two season openers on home ice.
Saturday, September 23rd, 7:30pm at Medicine Hat Tigers: The Hurricanes will make their first of three trips to Medicine Hat on Saturday for the Tigers home opener. The ‘Canes dropped their first road game last season to the Tigers at the Canalta Centre. (Listen on 106.7 ROCK)

NEWS & NOTES
Un-Bellerive-able: The Pittsburgh Penguins announced on Saturday that they have signed Hurricanes forward Jordy Bellerive to a three-year entry-level contract. Bellerive, who was undrafted in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, was invited to Penguins camp on a free-agent try-out.
Tradsies: The Hurricanes announced Monday that they have acquired 1998-born forward Jake Elmer and a fifth round draft pick from the Kootenay Ice in exchange for overage forward Alec Baer. The trade drops the ‘Canes overage numbers to the maximum three.
They’re Back: Goaltender Stuart Skinner has been re-assigned to the Hurricanes by the Edmonton Oilers while overage forward Giorgio Estephan was re-assigned by the Minnesota Wild late last week. Skinner was invited to the Oilers Main Camp after earning a shutout in their rookie tournament in Penticton.
Roster Move: The ‘Canes re-assigned defenseman Alex Cotton to the Yale Hockey Academy. The ‘Canes now have 26 on their roster including 16 forward, eight defenseman and two goaltenders.
