Vandervlis Jersey: The Hurricanes are auctioning off the special edition Vandervlis jerseys that the team wore on Friday night during warm-ups. The proceeds will be distributed to the Vandervlis family and the KidSport Lethbridge and Taber. The auction will be live until Saturday, September 29th at 4:00pm. Individual Game Tickets: Individual game tickets and flex packs went on sale on Wednesday, September 12th. Tickets will be available for purchase online, in person at the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre or by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328).

Next Home Game: The Hurricanes will be back at the ENMAX Centre on Friday, October 5th when they welcome the Prince Albert Raiders at 7:00pm. The Hurricanes embark on a two-game road trip into the East Division this coming weekend.
Home Away From Home: Once again this season, Browns Socialhouse in Lethbridge is your Home Away From Home. All Hurricanes road games can be viewed at Browns Socialhouse on both the South and the West side of Lethbridge.

Friday, September 21st – 5-2 Loss vs. Medicine Hat Tigers: The Hurricanes were handed a 5-2 loss in their Dairy Queen Home Opener on Friday to the Tigers. Jordy Bellerive and Calen Addison scored the goals in the losing cause while Reece Klassen made 23 saves in the defeat.
Saturday, September 22nd – 4-2 Win at Medicine Hat Tigers: The ‘Canes returned the favour to the Tigers on Saturday as they earned a 4-2 victory on the road in Medicine Hat’s home opener. Keltie Jeri-Leon, Taylor Ross, Dylan Cozens and Jake Elmer scored in the win. Klassen made 27 saves and was named the game’s first star.

Friday, September 28th – at Regina Pats: The Hurricanes will make their first East Division road trip for a quick two game road trip. The ‘Canes open the trip in Regina on Friday against the Pats, who were the runner-up in the Memorial Cup Final last year.
Saturday, September 29th – at Brandon Wheat Kings: The ‘Canes will wrap up the quick east trip on Saturday in Brandon against the Wheat Kings. It will be the first meeting between the Hurricanes and Wheaties since their second round match-up last year in the playoffs.

Opening Weekend Split: The Hurricanes split the opening weekend with the Medicine Hat Tigers. The ‘Canes earned a win on the road in Medicine Hat while they fell at home on Friday. It’s the fourth straight season the ‘Canes started 1-1-0-0 after an opening weekend with the Tigers.
Pit Picks: Pittsburgh Penguin prospects Jordy Bellerive and Calen Addison factored in on the scoring on the weekend. Both scored in the loss on Friday while Bellerive assisted on the game-winning goal on Saturday in Medicine Hat.
Special Teams: The Hurricanes penalty kill was strong on Saturday night as they were a perfect 8/8 while shorthanded. After two games, the ‘Canes have killed 10 of 12 penalties against, a kill rate of 83.3%. The power play meanwhile was 2/12 on opening weekend.
