Chadwick, Wormald Named to Final Rankings

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Tuesday that 2005-born defenceman Noah Chadwick and 2005-born forward Logan Wormald were ranked on the National Hockey League’s Central Scouting Services Final Rankings for the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
Chadwick, 17, was ranked 154th among North American skaters by Central Scouting. He was originally a second-round pick (38th overall) by the Hurricanes in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft. The Saskatoon, SK, product recorded 20 points (5g-15a) along with 16 penalty minutes and a plus-9 rating during his rookie season in 2022-2023 while adding one assist in four post-season games. The 6’3, 190-pound rearguard finished second on the Hurricanes in plus-minus (+9). Chadwick has skated in 80 career regular season games totaling 23 points (7g-16a) with 20 penalty minutes. He was named the recipient of the Hurricanes Scholastic Award this season.
Wormald, 17, was ranked 156th among North American skaters. The Langley, BC, product was originally a third-round selection (45th overall) by the Hurricanes in the 2020 WHL Draft. He finished his sophomore season with a career-high in goals, assists and points finishing with 44 points (22g-22a) along with 52 penalty minutes in 66 regular season games while going pointless in four playoff games. Wormald finished tied for the team lead in goals while finishing fifth in scoring for the Hurricanes during the 2022-2023 season. The 5’9, 150-pound forward has collected 82 points (36g-46a) and 74 penalty minutes in 121 career regular season games.
In total, 54 WHL players were named by Central Scouting on the Final Rankings. The 2023 NHL Entry Draft is slated for June 28-29, 2023 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
