GAME DAY: ‘Canes Wrap Up Trip in Cranbrook

Cranbrook, BC – The Lethbridge Hurricanes wrap up a five game BC road trip tonight as they make their final stop in Cranbrook to face the Kootenay Ice at Western Financial Place at 7:00pm.

The Hurricanes (9-12-1-0) have won two straight games after earning a 5-2 victory on Wednesday in Vancouver over the Giants. Five different goal scorers lit the lamp for the Hurricanes in the win while Reece Klassen made 21 saves for his first WHL victory. The ‘Canes are 3-7-0-0 on the road this season and 2-2-0-0 on their current five game BC trip.

The Ice (11-13-1-0) have won three of their last four games after earning a 4-3 victory in Edmonton last night over the Oil Kings. Former Hurricane Alec Baer scored twice in the win, including the game winning goal. The Ice have posted a 7-6-1-0 record on home ice this season but dropped their last home game on Tuesday to Portland.

Tonight is the first of four trips the ‘Canes will make to Kootenay this season and the first of seven head-to-head meetings between the two teams. The ‘Canes posted a 5-2-0-0 record against the Ice last year.
