GAME DAY: Hurricanes Begin 3-in-3 in Calgary

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will begin a three-in-three weekend tonight at 7:00pm when they visit the Calgary Hitmen at Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Hurricanes (14-16-2-1) were last in action last Saturday when they were downed 3-1 in Swift Current by the Broncos. Hayden Smith scored his first WHL goal, while shorthanded, in the loss while Jared Picklyk made 24-saves in the defeat. Lethbridge enters on a three-game losing streak and are 5-9-0-0 on the road this season.
The Hitmen (16-14-4-2) are coming off a 4-1 loss on Sunday afternoon against the Moose Jaw Warriors at the ‘Dome. Grayden Siepmann scored the only goal in the loss while Brayden Peters made 17-saves in the defeat. Calgary enters play tonight having posted a 10-6-3-0 record at home this season.
Tonight will be the fifth meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and Hitmen; Lethbridge has posted a 4-0-0-0 record against Calgary this season, including 2-0-0-0 at Scotiabank Saddledome. Tonight’s game can be watched at Browns Socialhouse in Lethbridge, on WHL Live or heard on 106.7 ROCK.
VS. HITMEN: Tonight will be the fifth of eight meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Hitmen. The ‘Canes have posted a 4-0-0-0 record so far this season; Lethbridge has outscored Calgary 21-9 on the season. The Hurricanes have won five straight games against the Hitmen dating back to last season. Lethbridge has posted an all-time record of 76-82-8-5 with six ties.
