GAME DAY: Hurricanes Continue Trip in Kamloops

Kamloops, BC – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a four-game road trip tonight at 8:00pm MT as they visit the Kamloops Blazers at the Sandman Centre.

The Hurricanes (37-17-2-5) were handed a 2-0 shutout loss on Wednesday in Prince George to the Cougars. It was the first time all season that the ‘Canes were shutout and the first since January 27, 2019. Bryan Thomson made 18 saves in the defeat. The Hurricanes enter tonight with a 20-9-0-1 record on the road this season.

The Blazers (38-17-3-1) enter on a three-game winning streak after earning a 4-2 win over the Vancouver Giants on Wednesday. Max Martin, Kyrell Sopotyk and Ryan Hughes all had a goal and an assist in the victory. Kamloops enters tonight with a 23-6-0-1 record at the Sandman Centre this season which is the second most home victories in the entire WHL this year.

Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Blazers; Lethbridge earned a 5-2 win in the only meeting last year at the ENMAX Centre and are 4-4-1-1 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings against Kamloops. The game can be seen at both Browns Socialhouse locations in Lethbridge or heard on 106.7 ROCK. VS. BLAZERS: Tonight will be the only meeting on the season between the Hurricanes and the Blazers. The Hurricanes earned a 5-2 win in the lone match-up last season at the ENMAX Centre. The ‘Canes have posted a 4-4-1-1 record in the last 10 head-to-head meetings against Kamloops over the last five years.
