GAME DAY: Hurricanes Finish First Half in Calgary

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes play their final game of the first half of the regular season this afternoon as they visit the Calgary Hitmen at 2:00pm at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Hurricanes (20-9-0-5) earned their 20th win of the season last night in a 3-0 win over the Hitmen at the ENMAX Centre. Dino Kambeitz, Logan Barlage and Alex Cotton scored in the win while Carl Tetachuk made 31-saves for his fifth career shutout. The win was the ‘Canes third straight victory.

The Hitmen (15-10-3-1) dropped their second straight game with the 3-0 loss last night in Lethbridge. Calgary fell to 1-6-0-0 in the last seven regular season meetings against the Hurricanes. Brayden Peters made 26 saves in the defeat.

Today’s game will be the second of three straight games between the Hurricanes and the Hitmen and the final game before the teams break for the Christmas break. The game can be watched at Browns Socialhouse in Lethbridge.

VS. HITMEN: Tonight will be the second of seven meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Hitmen. Calgary eliminated Lethbridge in Game 7 of the first round of the playoffs last year. The ‘Canes posted a 5-1-0-0 record in the six regular season meetings last year and are 6-1-0-0 in the last seven regular season meetings.
