GAME DAY: Hurricanes Kick Off Homestand Against Chiefs

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes begin a four-game homestand tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Spokane Chiefs to the ENMAX Centre on Country Night.

The Hurricanes (34-14-2-5) enter having lost their last two games by a combined 10-5 score after falling 5-3 at Rogers Place on Monday to the Edmonton Oil Kings. Brett Davis scored twice while Koletrane Wilson scored in the defeat. The ‘Canes enter tonight with a 15-6-2-5 on home ice this season and 8-1-2-0 in their last 11 games at the ENMAX Centre.

The Chiefs (32-18-4-1) enter having earned a 6-4 win in their last game on Saturday in Tri-City against the Americans. Adam Beckman, Eli Zummack and Luke Toporowski paced the Chiefs to the victory as all three had three points in the victory. Entering tonight, Beckman leads the entire WHL in goals (41) and points (92). Spokane has posted a 14-9-2-1 on the road this season.

Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Chiefs; Lethbridge has lost two straight games against Spokane going back to 2017 while going 2-2-0-0 in the last four meetings. The ‘Canes last victory against the Chiefs was a 5-3 win on October 7th, 2016 in Spokane.

VS. CHIEFS: Tonight will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Chiefs. Last year, the ‘Canes were downed 6-2 by the Chiefs in Spokane in their lone meeting. Lethbridge has posted a 2-2-0-0 record in the last four seasons against Spokane.
