GAME DAY: Hurricanes Play Final Home Game in January

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes play their final home game in January tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Red Deer Rebels to the ENMAX Centre.

The Hurricanes (25-10-2-5) enter after earning a 7-2 win last Saturday at home against the Swift Current Broncos. Brett Davis scored twice in that victory while five others lit the lamp. The ‘Canes enter tonight having collected points in seven straight games going 5-0-2-0 in that span.

The Rebels (14-23-1-2) enter on a three-game losing streak after suffering a 6-0 loss last Saturday in Winnipeg against the ICE. In their last three losses, Red Deer has been outscored by a whopping 16-2 in those games. The Rebels enter tonight sitting nine points back of the Saskatoon Blades for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Tonight will be the fifth of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Rebels. In the previous four games, the ‘Canes have posted a 3-1-0-0 record having won the last three head-to-head meetings.

The Hurricanes will have a special pre-game ceremony to honour Dylan Cozens and Calen Addison who will return to the line up after helping Canada win gold at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship. VS. REBELS: Tonight will be the fifth of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Rebels. The ‘Canes have won three straight games against Red Deer having gone 3-1-0-0 in the four games so far this season. Lethbridge have posted an impressive 23-5-1-1 in the last 30 regular season meetings against Red Deer dating back to February of 2015.
