GAME DAY: Hurricanes Return Home; Face Tigers

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00pm as they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers in their first meeting of the season.

The Hurricanes (6-10-0-0) are coming off a 3-2 loss last Sunday in Moose Jaw to the Warriors. Ty Nash and Jett Jones scored the goals in the losing cause while Bryan Thomson made 25-saves. The loss ended a five-game road trip for the ‘Canes in which they posted a 1-4-0-0 record. Lethbridge has gone 4-3-0-0 at home this season as tonight begins a stretch of seven of nine games at home prior to the Christmas break.

The Tigers (4-7-3-1) enter on a seven-game losing streak after suffering a 4-3 overtime loss last Sunday in Calgary against the Hitmen. Ashton Ferster, Lukas Svejkovsky and Corson Hopwo scored in the defeat while Garin Bjorklund made an impressive 43-saves. Medicine Hat enters with a road record of 1-4-2-1 this season.

Tonight will be the first of eight meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Tigers as it is the latest into a season ever that the two teams will play for the first time. Tickets for tonight’s game can be purchased at the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre, the Yates Memorial Theatre Ticket Centre, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or online at www.lethbridgehurricanes.com.

VS. TIGERS: Tonight will be the first of eight meetings this season between the Hurricanes and Tigers. Lethbridge has posted a 1-5-0-0 record last season against Medicine Hat.
