GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Hitmen in Teddy Toss Matinee

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will look to return to the win column this afternoon as they visit the Calgary Hitmen in their Teddy Bear Toss at Scotiabank Saddledome at 2:00pm.

The Hurricanes (8-11-1-0) were downed 4-2 last night in their Teddy Toss at the ENMAX Centre by the Brandon Wheat Kings. Ty Nash scored the Teddy Bear goal while Logan Wormald scored the other in the loss. Lethbridge outshot Brandon 35-24 in the contest. The ‘Canes have posted a 2-7-0-0 record away from home this season.

The Hitmen (10-9-0-0) earned a 7-1 win against the Moose Jaw Warriors on Thursday night. Sean Tschigerl scored twice while Cael Zimmerman, David Adaszynski, Tyson Galloway and Brandon Whynott added the others. Calgary enters on a three-game winning streak having outscored their opponents 24-4 in those games.

Today will be the third of eight meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Hitmen; Lethbridge has posted a 2-0-0-0 record against Calgary this season. Today’s game can be watched at Browns Socialhouse in Lethbridge, on WHL Live or heard on 106.7 ROCK.
