Hurricanes acquire Goalie from Kamloops

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes acquired 1995-born goalie Justin Myles from Kamloops in exchange for a conditional 4th round pick in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.

At 6’2 and 164 pounds, the native of Calgary started his WHL career with the Seattle Thunderbirds after they drafted him in the 5th round (92nd overall) in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. Myles played eight games with Seattle in the 2012-2013 season and in 21 games this year he posted an 11-6 record with a 3.66 GAA and .889 save percentage.

Myles was traded to the Kamloops Blazers with Austin Douglas when Seattle acquired Taran Kozun at the January 10th trade deadline.

Acquiring Myles gives the Hurricanes another veteran presence and depth at the goaltending position.
