Regina, SK – The Lethbridge Hurricanes ended a five-game road trip on Saturday afternoon with a 4-1 victory in Regina against the Pats to end the trip with an impressive 4-1-0-0 record.

The Hurricanes had a strong start to the game as they had a few good chances early including a pair of looks on a power play that failed to score. The ‘Canes hit a goal-post when Igor Merezhko, in his 250th WHL game, let fly from the blue-line. Regina had two power plays in the first period but Carl Tetachuk stood tall making 13 saves in the first period; Max Paddock stopped all eight Lethbridge shots as the game was scoreless after one period.

Lethbridge opened the scoring in the second period as Nick Henry moved in on a two-on-one and ripped home his 26th goal of the season to set a new career-high in points with 86 as the former Pat, in his return to Regina, made it 1-0. The ‘Canes Jordy Bellerive ripped home his 29th of the year just 53 seconds later to quickly give Lethbridge a 2-0 lead. Dylan Cozens snapped home his 32nd of the year extending his point-scoring streak to 11-straight games at the 12:51 mark; Taylor Ross and Jake Elmer earned the helpers. After a power play goal by Austin Pratt for Regina made it 3-1, the ‘Canes answered back as Elmer scored his team-leading 36th of the season extending his goal scoring streak to 12-straight games as the ‘Canes led 4-1 after forty minutes.

In the third period, the Hurricanes were outshot 10-9 by Regina but neither team found the net as all five-goals in the game came in the second period. The ‘Canes went 0/3 on the power play in the game while the Pats were 1/5 with the extra man.

Three stars of the game were:
1) ‘Canes – #23 Nick Henry (1 goal, 1 assist)
2) ‘Canes – #35 Carl Tetachuk (38 saves)
3) Pats – #10 Austin Pratt (1 goal)

The win for the Hurricanes was their third straight as they go 4-1-0-0 in five games on the road and take three out of four in Saskatchewan. The win for the ‘Canes improves their record to 8-2-0-0 in their last ten games and 35-18-5-5 on the season.
