KidSport Challenge Renewed

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club is proud to announce that Tyler Wong and Ryley Lindgren, along with Giorgio Estephan, will once again be raising money for KidSport Lethbridge and Taber this year.

During the 2016-2017 regular season, for every goal they score, the three will donate $5.00 out of their own money to the organization. Wong, Lindgren and former Hurricane Carter Folk helped raise over $6,500.00 for the program with the contributions made last season.

“It was pretty successful last year and it’s a very worthy cause and hopefully this year we can score a little more than last year and gain some more support for the community and raise a substantially larger amount,” said Hurricanes Captain and reigning WHL Humanitarian of the Year, Tyler Wong. “I like to set my goals high so I’m hoping to raise over $10,000 this year.”

The Lethbridge Hurricanes will once again be supporting the initiative began by Wong. For every goal that Wong, Lindgren and Estephan score this season the organization will match dollar for dollar what the players themselves will donate.

If you would like to help in the initiative by matching dollars raised, please contact the Hurricanes Office by calling 403-328-1986.
