PLAYOFF GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Tigers in Game 3

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes return home tonight at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre as they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers in Game 3 of their best-of-seven second round series.

The Hurricanes, who dropped a 4-0 decision in Game 1 on Friday, responded nicely to even the series at one game apiece with a 7-4 victory on Saturday night at the Canalta Centre. Giorgio Estephan led the way for the Hurricanes as he scored three times while adding an assist and was named the game’s first star.

The Tigers, despite surrendering the second game, have been led by the line of Steven Owre, Zach Fischer and Chad Butcher. The trio has combined for 12 points (5g-7a) in the first two games of the series – Fischer has scored three times, including two in Game 2.

Having earned the split in Medicine Hat, the Hurricanes now have home ice advantage in the series and will host Game 3 tonight before Game 4 tomorrow.

Tickets for both games can be purchased online, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre or Yates Ticket Centre’s.

PLAYOFF SERIES: Tonight will be Game 3 of the best-of-seven series between the Hurricanes and the Tigers. The series is tied at 1-1. The ‘Canes and Tigers have not met in the WHL post-season since 1991 when the Hurricanes eliminated them in seven games – that was the only time in history the two have faced off in the playoffs.
