Dairy Queen Home Opener: The Hurricanes will kick off their 31st season on Friday, September 22nd when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers at the ENMAX Centre in the Dairy Queen Home Opener. The ‘Canes will face the Tigers in a season opening home-and-home set for the seventh straight season.

Season Tickets Still On Sale: Season Tickets for the 2017-2018 campaign are still available for purchase. Secure your seat for all 36 home games plus season ticket holder perks including priority on Playoff tickets and select pre-sale opportunities for events at the ENMAX Centre. Season Tickets start at $400 and can be purchased by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328).

Season Ticket Booklets Available in Ticket Centre: A reminder that Season Ticket Booklets are now available to be picked up, along with your gift, at the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre. Office Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Saturday’s from 10:00am-4:00pm.

Individual Game Tickets Now Available: Individual game tickets and flex packs are NOW available for purchase at the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre which is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Saturday’s from 10:00am-4:00pm.

Friday, September 8th – 6-3 Win vs. Swift Current: The Hurricanes continued their ENMAX Pre-Season on Friday at the ENMAX Centre as they skated to a 6-3 win over the Broncos. Tanner Nagel scored twice while Calen Addison, Ryan Vandervlis, Brendan Stafford and Egor Zudilov added the others. Adam Swan made 21 saves in the victory

Sunday, September 10th – 3-2 Loss at Swift Current: The Hurricanes played their second to last ENMAX Pre-Season game on Sunday in Swift Current. The ‘Canes were handed their third loss of the exhibition season as they dropped a 3-2 game to the Broncos. Hayden Clayton and Jadon Joseph scored the goals while Bryan Thomson made 21 saves in the loss.


Friday, September 15th, 7:00pm @ Kootenay Ice (In Crowsnest Pass): The Hurricanes will wrap up their 2017 ENMAX Pre-Season on Friday when they travel to the Crowsnest Pass to face the Kootenay Ice. The ‘Canes will look to end the exhibition season on a high before the Dairy Queen Home Opener on Friday, September 22nd at the ENMAX Centre. NHL Camps: The Hurricanes currently have four players attending NHL Rookie Camps as Giorgio Estephan and Brennan Menell are both attending the Minnesota Wild’s camp, Jordy Bellerive is with the Pittsburgh Penguins while Stuart Skinner is currently attending the Edmonton Oiler’s rookie camp.

Cutting Down: The Hurricanes continue to cut the roster down in preparation for the 2017-2018 season opener. The ‘Canes have re-assigned goaltender Bryan Thomson, defenseman Nolan Jones while releasing forward Gino Astrouski. The ‘Canes now have 27 players on their roster including: 16 forwards, nine defenseman and two goaltenders.

Leading Scorers: It’s been a good pre-season so far for the trio of Ryan Vandervlis, Jadon Joseph and Tanner Nagel. Vandervlis and Joseph lead the team in scoring with four points respectively. Vandervlis has three goals and one assist while Joseph has a goal and three helpers. Nagel meanwhile has three points (2g-1a) in two outings.
